Description

Precious Meta Clay (PMC) was discovered by Mitsubishi utilizing micro-fine precious-metal particles that are the by-product of the auto-manufacturing industry. It is currently available in silver, gold, copper, and bronze.

They add an organic binder that manipulates like clay. Impressions, molding, and/or sculpting with this material is easy and exciting. Once an object is made, the item is fired, burning out the organic binder, and for this class, leaving 99.9 fine silver.

This class will focus on earrings and matching pendant, or any other jewelry item you’d like to make. Bring your ideas and learn with others as you transform this clay-like material into a beautiful, heirloom-quality keepsake.

You will leave the class with your new creations. Your imagination is your limit! This is your opportunity to create your own signature look.

The price reflects your instruction, the current cost of silver, and the firing process.

Let yourself try something new! You’ll love what you finish and take home from the class.

4 hour workshop, May 11, 2024 9am – noon.

About The Instructor

Cathy Jo Wheeler’s jewelry has been described as playful, whimsical, funky, and fun. She designs jewelry using dichroic glass and precious metal clay. Cathy Jo is drawn to bright, rich colors of the dichroic glass. Her glass jewelry is hand cut from dichroic glass and the different patterns of glass are fused together in a kiln and wrapped with sterling silver wire or .999 silver.
